Terrorists Kill 4 Soldiers In Sokoto

Suspected terrorists have reportedly killed four personnel of the Nigerian Army in the Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Sources in the border town of Balle, the headquarters of the Gudu Local Government Area said the assailants laid an ambush against the Army personnel and open fire on their moving vehicle.

They said four personnel died instantly while seven others sustained different degrees of injuries and are receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

According to them, two operational vehicles of the military personnel were set on fire by the terrorists.

Efforts to get the security agencies to confirm the report was unsuccessful as both the Nigeria Police Force and the Army authorities in Sokoto are yet to comment on the attack.
