The long queues were seen early in the morning and still persist as at the time of filing this report. .

Our correspondent gathered that the long queues were a result of the scarcity of petroleum, also known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

DAILY POST correspondent who went round some parts of Ibadan observed that majority of the petroleum stations have locked their gates.

Some of the areas visited are Sango, Bodija, the University of Ibadan, Agodi-Gate, Iwo Road and Idi Ape.

Others are Apete, Awotan, Monatan, Iyana Church and Agbowo.

Only a few are currently open to customers.

It was learnt that the major marketer, such as NNPCL, is still selling at the rate of N580.

The other ones that belonged to independence marketers are selling between N700 and N800 in the areas visited.

As at the time of filing this report on Monday, our correspondent reports that long queues are still persisting in only a few of the petroleum stations that opened for business.
