NCC Initiates Wireless Internet Cloud Installation In Nasarawa

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has commenced the installation of a Wireless Internet Cloud at the College of Education Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

This move comes in fulfillment of the NCC’s commitment following the recent passage of the Right of Way Regulation 2023, which waives charges for installing, placing, laying, and maintaining telecommunication network facilities in Nasarawa State.

The Nasarawa State Right of Way Regulation 2023, enacted by Governor Abdullahi A. Sule administration has been lauded as a significant step towards promoting a thriving digital economy in the state.

The project includes several components- 10km Fiber Network, Network Operating Center, Dedicated Power Bank with a 10kVA Hybrid Online Inverter, 240 Mbps of Free Internet Service and One Free Line Internet Bandwidth

DAILY POST had reported that the Nasarawa State Government officially approved the removal of Right of Way, RoW, charges for the installation, placement, laying, and maintenance of telecommunications network facilities within the state.

The decision, which was taken by signing the Right of Way Regulation 2023, took effect on December 29, 2023.
