A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Jacob Ogunseye, has welcomed the defection of Hon. Oluwole Oke into the APC, describing the move as timely, strategic, and a step in the right direction.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Ogunseye said Hon. Oke, a respected federal lawmaker and experienced grassroots mobiliser, made the right decision by joining the ruling party at this crucial time when the nation needs men of vision and capacity to consolidate gains of democracy.

“Hon. Oluwole Oke is a household name in Osun and across Nigeria. His wealth of experience, political maturity, and people-oriented leadership style are strong assets that will further strengthen our party. He has made the right decision by pitching his tent with the progressives,” Ogunseye stated.

He noted that Oke’s entry into the APC was not just a personal decision but a clear reflection of the growing confidence in the APC’s leadership both at the national and state levels.

According to him, the APC remains open to credible and patriotic Nigerians who are willing to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development, stressing that the party will continue to reposition itself for inclusive governance and electoral victory.

Ogunseye assured Hon. Oke of total cooperation and support from party stakeholders, adding that his coming would inspire more political realignments in the days ahead.
