Bashir Ahmad, Media Aide to Nigeria’s former president, Muhammadu Buhari, has said that in terms of infrastructure, his principal outclassed the achievements of former Nigerian leaders Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Yar’Adua, and Goodluck Jonathan combined.

Bashir made this known on his X account on Wednesday.

His comment was in response to a pro-People’s Democratic Party account on X, which claimed that the last time Nigeria was in good hands was during the Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, and Jonathan administrations. However, reacting to this, Ahmad described the claim as ‘hilarious.’

According to him, the Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, and Jonathan administrations cannot be compared to even one-third of what Buhari achieved in terms of infrastructure during his eight-year tenure as Nigeria’s president.

“Hilarious! In terms of infrastructure, these three presidents combined can’t boast even a third of what President Buhari achieved in his 8 years. That is not even an opinion; that is a fact,” he said, without providing details to back his claim.

DAILY POST reports that Buhari led Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress from 2015 to 2023. Meanwhile, Obasanjo was Nigeria’s president from 1999 to 2007 under the People’s Democratic Party before the emergence of Yar’Adua, who served until his death in May 2010, after which Jonathan took over until 2015.
