Abuja, Nigeria – The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), His Excellency Senator George Akume, hosted Prince Ade Omole, former Director of the Diaspora Directorate and a prominent Nigerian Diaspora leader, at his Abuja residence over the weekend.

The high-level discussions focused on advancing national development and building a stronger collaboration between international stakeholders and the Tinubu administration. Senator Akume commended Prince Omole’s exceptional support for the administration’s policies and his notable efforts in promoting the administration’s achievements in the global arena.

Specifically, the SGF applauded Omole’s decisive responses to erroneous publications, including his recent rejoinders to the Financial Times in the UK. These effectively corrected misrepresentations and set the record straight regarding Nigeria’s progress under President Tinubu’s leadership.

The meeting also explored innovative strategies for empowering Nigerians, creating economic opportunities, and driving initiatives that position Nigeria as a global pillar of progress and prosperity. Prince Omole reaffirmed the Nigerian Diaspora’s commitment to leveraging its expertise, resources, and international influence to support the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda and sustainable development goals.

Senator Akume reiterated the Tinubu administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, emphasising the indispensable role of the Diaspora in shaping Nigeria’s future. He stressed the importance of continued engagement and collaboration to harness the full potential of Nigerians at home and abroad.

Omole thanked the SGF for the warm reception and insightful engagement and pledged his commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda.
