WESTERN POST had reported that the Senator representing FCT, Sen. Ireti Kingibe moved a motion on Thursday during plenary session, expressing concerns about the recent demolitions in the district.

After her motion, the Senate set up adhoc committee to probe the matter and also to invite Minister Wike for explanation.

According to the Senate, the suspension will remain in effect until an ad hoc committee established by the Senate evaluates the legitimacy of such demolitions and completes its investigation.

The committee, chaired by Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, consists of seven other members.
