Rights activist and convener of the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest, Omoyele Sowore, on Wednesday denied postponing the protest scheduled to commence on August 1.

Sowore described claims that the protest has been postponed as false.

Posting on X, the activist cum politician urged Nigerians to ignore the fake news.

“Please ignore the desperate fake announcement in circulation that #EndBadGovernance Revolt has been postponed. It is false! #nogoingback #DaysOfRage #RevolutionNow.”

President Bola Tinubu, the state governors and other influential Nigerians had pleaded with the organizers to shelve the protest.
