Obi made this call in Benin City, Edo State, at the 2024 Democracy Day Dialogue organized by The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.

The former Anambra State Governor said education remains the key to emancipating people from the plagues of poverty and putting an end to the crises and insecurity bedeviling the nation.

“We must invest in education and pull people out of poverty to end the crisis and insecurity rocking the nation,” he said.

Present at the event were the host, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, and his Kenyan counterpart, Uhuru Kenyatta, among others.
