DISCLAIMER: Fraudulent Claims Of APC UK Congress Debunked

The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) UK Interim Committee Secretariat has been drawn to a highly concerning, misleading, bogus, and fraudulent press release regarding a purported APC UK congress. This unauthorised and invalid release was mischievously published in the Tribune Newspaper on June 6th, 2024.

In our usual commitment to transparency, the APC UK Interim Committee wishes to clarify that it is unaware of any such congress, nor has the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) approved a congress for the UK chapter. Under the authority of the APC NWC, the interim committee secretariat has yet to be directed or informed about any such event. Furthermore, the interim committee has complained about several past breaches, which the Deputy National Chairman (North) is still investigating.

It is crucial to note that the author of this fraudulent press release is merely an ordinary member of the interim committee and holds no authorisation to issue such statements. The interim committee, with its secretariat managed by JK Adebola, comprises only two executives and is unaware of any planned congress. As of today, Tunde Doherty and I, JK Adebola, are the only executives in the APC UK Interim Committee responsible for public notifications of this nature upon due approval and direction by the APC NWC.

I, JK Adebola, as the Secretary of the APC UK Interim Committee, am not aware of any congress in the UK, neither has the NWC directed as such and have not mandated anyone to publish any notice regarding a congress.

It is also important to notify our members and the general public that any notice of a congress should be released from the office of the Secretary who manages the secretariat.

We strongly urge our loyal members and the general public to exercise their discernment and disregard this fake news. The party’s NWC will take urgent steps to address this untoward action by the recalcitrant member.

Signed,

Joseph Kolawole Adebola, MNIM, MCICN

Secretary,

APC UK Interim Committee.
