The union made the demand on Monday.

DAILY POST reports that a litre of petrol for sold between N700 and N820 in parts of Ibadan, the state capital, on Monday.

The NUJ, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Ademola Babalola, and made available to DAILY POST through the Secretary of the union, Comrade Olusola Oladapo, advised Tinubu to address the problems urgently.

He added that many Nigerians have been experiencing hardship as a result of the fuel scarcity.

He said, “Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has condemned in strongest terms, the lingering petrol scarcity in Ibadan and other parts of the state, which has caused untold hardships for citizens.

“The NUJ chairman also urged the government to find a lasting solution to the recurring petrol scarcity and price hike, which he described as a major setback to the economic development of the state and the country at large.”
