The Karimjo Community Development Association has called on the Taraba State Government and the leadership of Karim-Lamido Local Government Council to beef up security in the area.

In a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, members of the community expressed concern over the recent killing of one Gambo Mani, whom they claimed was fatally shot while returning home in the Angwa Rimi area of Karim Lamido Council.

The community condemned the act as heinous and barbaric, emphasizing the need for immediate action to safeguard lives and property.

National President, Kennedy James, in the statement, highlighted a series of recent violent incidents in the area, including the killing of a resident in Binneri community, an attack on Didango community by unidentified gunmen, and sporadic shootings in Yolde Matawo.

Emphasizing the correlation between peace and development, the community stressed the importance of a secure environment for agricultural and developmental projects to thrive.

The residents urged security agencies to redouble their efforts in ensuring the safety of law-abiding citizens.

The statement urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security forces to identify and report suspicious activities.
