“Senator Ibrahim’s demise is an immense loss for our nation, as we mourn the departure of a patriotic Nigerian and a grassroots politician whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the foundation of Yobe State.

“During his tenure as the Executive Governor of Yobe State from 1991 to 1993 and again from 1999 to 2007, late Ibrahim displayed unwavering commitment to transforming the lives of Yobe state. His visionary leadership, strategic initiatives, and relentless pursuit of progress laid the groundwork for the development and growth of Yobe State.

“Even after completing his tenure as the governor, Senator Ibrahim’s continued dedication to public service led him to represent the people of Yobe State as a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2007 to 2019.

“Throughout his political career, Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim demonstrated exceptional statesmanship and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.

“He was a champion of democratic principles, advocating for good governance, social justice, and sustainable development. His passionate advocacy for grassroots politics empowered countless individuals, ensuring their voices were heard and their needs met.

“Senator Ibrahim’s demise leaves a great void in our political landscape, where his wisdom, experience, and guidance will be dearly missed.

“His commitment to unity and harmonious coexistence among diverse communities was evident through his tireless efforts in fostering regional and national cooperation. He was a unifying figure, always putting the interests of the nation and its people above personal gains.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim’s family, friends, constituents, the people of Yobe State, and the entire nation. We share in your grief during this difficult time and offer our utmost support in dealing with this irreplaceable loss.

“Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of Nigerians as we honor his dedicated service to the nation. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement concluded.
