NDLEA Operatives Apprehend 58 Suspected Drug Users In Kano

Fifty-eight (58) suspected drug users have been apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Kano State at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

The newly launched “Operation Hana Maye” carried out the arrest following a raid aimed at combating drug trafficking and abuse in the state.

Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, the command’s spokesman, said, “as part of the operation, a successful raid was conducted at the Sani Abacha Stadium, resulting in the arrest of 58 suspects and the recovery of various illicit substances.”

He further explained that the raid was carried out in the evening hours of Wednesday, 17th January, 2024, to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimise any potential resistance.
