“We will ensure that sporting activities thrive as adequate attention will be given to the sector.

“With me at the helm of affairs in this organization, we shall reshape sporting activities in Zamfara State and change the narrative.

“I have promised to give sports writers in Zamfara the maximum support they require to come to limelight,” he said.

In their separate speeches, the Director of sports, Nasiru Bakura and the Director planning in the directorate, Shehu Aliyu Zurmi commended the State SWAN.

The duo also assured the SWAN of a robust and harmonious working relationship, appealing to them to be fair in their reportage.

Speaking earlier, the State chairman of SWAN, Rabiu Dabbakal and his vice, Theophilus Darofai, congratulated Isiayaka James on his well deserved appointment as the Executive Secretary, Zamfara State Directorate of sports.

They appealed to the leadership of the Directorate to always carry SWAN along in its sporting activities within and outside the state.
