Chieftains of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Party, APC, have called on elected officials to remain committed to the fulfilment of the promises made to the electorate.

In separate interviews with Voice of Nigeria, Chief Lanre Razak and the former Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly- Mr Adeyemi Ikuforiji said that Nigerian politicians must take cues from the lessons of Eid-el Kabir.

According to Chief Razak, Eid-el Kabir symbolises fulfillment of promise made by Prophet Ibrahim to the Almighty Allah, a promise which he demonstrated in his attempt to sacrifice his son- Ishmael.

“All promises made by politicians should be fulfilled, failure to do so, is a sin, when you make a promise, you must and you should be able to fulfill it,” he reiterated.
He however called on the electorate to remain patient with the Nigerian government to fully deliver on its manifesto.

The APC Chieftain then urged Muslims in particular and Nigerians in general to live in peace and demonstrate love towards one another.

“We must follow the injunctions of Allah, love your neighbor as yourself, do unto others what you expect others to do unto you, believe in the oneness of Allah and support the government in power,” he stated.
