As some group are agitating for the restructuring of the country, a member, House of Representatives, Hon. AbdulRaheem Olajide Jimoh has said President Mohammadu Buhari cannot act outside the Constitution.

Jimoh, representing Lagos Mainland Constituency, “President has not said he would not restructure. This issue should go through constitutional processes, There are way and method to go about restructuring”.

Reacting to why the National Assembly turned down the 2014 national confab recommendation organised by former President Goodluck Jonathan, the lawmaker explained that the National Assembly was not carried along and that the confab was done hurriedly because of the motive behind it.

“Former President Jonathan did not wait for the National Assembly to give order before he went ahead in which huge amount of money was wasted, he said

He also explained that those clamouring for restructuring are looking for avenues to position themselves for relevance.

Meanwhile, the lawmaker urged that the issue of padding of budget raised by Hon. Abdumumin Jubrin must not be swept under the carpet, called for  proper investigation on the matter.
