Attorney General, and Commissioner for Justice of the state, Mr. Uko Udom, presented the document and listed the laws to include the Establishment of Ibom Community Watch; the establishment of Akwa Ibom State Security Trust Fund; the Establishment of Akwa Ibom State Bureau of Statistics; and Special provisions for Statutory Boards).

Mr. Eno commended the lawmakers for passing bills while also commending other stakeholders for proper tinkering and packaging of the set of legislations which, be noted, would serve as an essential guide in the implementation of his administration’s blueprint, the ‘ARISE Agenda’.

The commissioner for information and strategy, Iniobong Ememobong in the state said “The managing director (MD) of Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP), Pastor Imoabasi Jacob, was invited to present his portfolio and reorganization plan to the Executive Council.”

In his presentation, he highlighted all the companies where the state government has shares and assured that the Corporation under his watch, would ensure the entrenchment of good corporate governance, for the overall economic good of the state,” he explained.

The commissioner quoted the governor as having directed that the management of all government-owned companies should immediately be transferred to AKICORP, while the supervision will remain with the relevant Ministries.
