In the interview monitored by the Reflector Newspaper, Honourable Elegbeleye emphasized the need for every football club that will participate in the upcoming season to comply with the directive to ensure the smooth operation of the Nigeria League.

He also announced plans to partner with Air Peace, one of Nigeria’s leading airlines, to facilitate the movement of players and officials during matches.

The partnership according to Honorable Elegbeleye, which would be discussed in a meeting scheduled for September, aims to allocate 50% of flight costs to support referees.

Additionally, Elegbeleye reaffirmed that the NPFL winners’ prize for the 2024/2025 season, which is set to commence on August 31st, is N200 million, which sees an N50 million naira increase than the previous season, won by Enugu Rangers International.
