Several dignitaries took turns to extol the departed matriarch’s virtue offering words of encouragement and support to the children.

Senator Afikuyomi, speaking, described the late matriarch as a “pillar of strength and a shining example of grace and resilience.” He said, “We share in your sorrow and offer our deepest sympathies. Your mother’s impact on the lives of countless individuals will never be forgotten.”

“The passing of a loved one is always a tragedy, and it’s even more poignant when the departed has left an indelible mark on the lives of those around them. In the case of Mama, her impact was felt far and wide, and her legacy will continue to be felt for generations to come. While we wish she had stayed longer with us, the family can take solace in the fact that she lived to see her children grow into accomplished individuals, making significant contributions to society in their respective fields. The success of her children is a testament to her dedication, guidance, and love, and it is a comfort to know that her legacy will continue to inspire and motivate others through them.”

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, while responding, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries for their visit and prayers. “My family and I are deeply grateful for your support and condolences during this difficult time. Your presence and words of encouragement have brought us comfort and strength. We are thankful for the outpouring of love and respect for our mother, and we appreciate your prayers for our family.”

May God grant the Saraki family the strength and fortitude to bear this loss, and may the soul of Chief Mrs Florence Saraki rest in perfect peace. May her legacy continue to inspire and motivate others, and may the family find comfort in the knowledge that she lived a life that was full and meaningful.
