“This is a subtle signal to persons distributing unclassified films and video works not registered and all persons profiting from the sweat of film and video creative without proper rights that, under my watch, we will not rest until we get rid of them from our industry, and equally ensure that they are prosecuted,” Mr Thomas also stated.

He told newsmen that they have arrested lots and also seized number goods.

“All the law enforcement agents including police, custom, legislators and judiciaries are ready to wage war on unlicensed production of movies and privacy in Nigeria.

“The fight is not theirs alone but of the entire film industries and other practitioners,” Mr Thomas stressed.

He pleaded with the citizens to abstain from buying pirated works.
