A 43-year-old woman identified simply as Gift has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly cutting off the tip of her lover’s penis.

Report indicated that the incident occurred during a domestic dispute between Gift and her lover, known as Sunday, at Bishop Okoye Street, Mile 3, Diobu, Port Harcourt, on Thursday.

It was learnt that trouble started when Sunday allegedly requested sex, which Gift declined on the grounds that he had taken sex-enhancing drugs.

A source who spoke to pressmen on condition of anonymity said Sunday became aggressive and allegedly assaulted Gift over her refusal.

“In the process, Gift managed to get hold of the man’s manhood with her mouth and bit off the tip,” the source stated.

The source added that neighbours were drawn to the scene by Sunday’s loud screams, and an angry mob descended on the woman in retaliation.

According to the source, it took the intervention of the Divisional Police Officer of the Nkpolu Police Division in Diobu, Mile 3, Port Harcourt, and his men to rescue Gift from the mob.

“Sunday was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the metropolis for treatment,” the source added.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, stating that investigations were ongoing.

“Yes, I can confirm the incident. The female suspect, aged 43 years, has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing,” she said.
