They started with a 1-0 win against Tunisia, then played out a 0-0 draw against Morocco and a 2-2 draw with Kenya.

It was a tactical clash with very little chances created on both sides.

The first half ended without a goal and sparked several chances for both sides.

There were no goals in the second half as the game proceeded to extra time.

In extra time both teams took a defensive approach and could not be separated as penalties were required.

In the penalty shoot out, Precious Benjamin scored for Nigeria and Emmanuel Chukwu scored the second after a miss by Senegal.

Israel Isaac Ayuna scored for Nigeria as Senegal missed again for the Flying Eagles to wrap up the win.
