The PDP South West Zonal Congress was held on Wednesday, April 16, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Ajisafe was returned elected with a total of 261 votes in what party stakeholders described as a consensus election.

Delegates from all six South West states Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti were present at the congress, which was marked by a peaceful and well-coordinated electoral process.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State commended the party for its resilience and commitment to unity despite the challenges facing the PDP
