Social media has been abuzz after Nigerian TikTok influencer, Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, was called out by his childhood friend, Shedoskyie, for not providing sufficient financial assistance.
In a now-viral video, Shedoskyie admitted that Peller had sent him N2 million but insisted that the amount was inadequate for his needs. He pleaded with Peller to offer more substantial support by bringing him along on his success journey, just as he allegedly did with another mutual friend, Joe Black.
Shedoskyie, who has previously accused Peller of abandoning him after gaining fame, took to social media once again to express his dissatisfaction. He claimed that despite receiving the money, he was still struggling in Ikorodu while Peller had moved to Lekki.
“Guys, abeg make una help me dey beg Peller. Peller don credit me N2 million but guys please, it’s not enough. Peller please carry me along, na me and you dey do videos, you dey give me N2 million. Wetin N2 million wan do for me? Peller please carry me along. You carry only Joe Black, you leave me for Ikorodu, I still dey suffer for here.”
In the caption of his post, he further emphasized his request, stating: “I Don’t Want Your 2 Million Naira, Carry Me Along.”
The video quickly sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians, with many debating the issue of entitlement and financial responsibility.
While some social media users sympathized with Shedoskyie and urged Peller to offer him a sustainable opportunity rather than a lump sum, others criticized him for appearing ungrateful.
One user commented: “If N2 million is not enough, then nothing will ever be enough. Start something with it.” Another added: “Peller is not your father; he has tried by giving you money. Use it wisely.”
However, some netizens saw things from Shedoskyie’s perspective, with one remarking: “Peller should help his real ones like he helped Joe Black. Some friendships deserve more than just money.”
