The Oyo State House of Assembly has urged the executive Arm of government to establish more fire stations across the State for quick response to fire emergencies and rescue services.
The house made the call sequel to a motion presented by the Leader of the house Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin and co-sponsored by Hon. Bamidele Adeola Iseyin/Itesiwaju, Hon Babajide Adebayo Ibadan North 2 and Hon. Yinka Omikunle Ibadan South East 2 at the floor of the house.
The motion was presented on the need for the executive Arm of Government to establish more fire stations across Oyo State for quick response to fire emergencies and rescue services.
In the same vein, Hon. Olorunpoto Rahman representing Oyo East-West constituency appealed to the government to assist the affected Traders at Ashamu Market, Oyo.
He commended the state and federal fire services for urgent attention and also called on the government to be more proactive to prevent such occurrences in the state.
