The management of Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has clarified the circumstances surrounding the one-year suspension of admissions into its Law programme by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement released on Saturday by the university’s Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs, Adetunji Adeleye, the suspension was attributed to the Council for Legal Education’s (CLE) decision to penalize the institution for commencing its Law programme in 2017 with only the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The university explained that it currently holds full accreditation from both the NUC and the CLE to offer an undergraduate Law programme.
