Forum of Peoples Democratic Party Youth Leaders on Saturday, appealed to the National Working Committee of the party to ensure that all zones conclude their congresses for the forthcoming convention to be hitch-free.

The appeal was contained in a resolution issued after the meeting of the Forum and signed by the South West Zonal PDP Youth Leader, Seyi Bamidele.

The group also demanded for total reconciliation of all warring factions within the party for unity and harmonisation across every section of the party across wards and zones in the country.

“We appeal that the NWC should ensure that all zones should have conclusive congresses to enable us have an hitch-free convention

“We appeal that all the youth leaders across the country should all be carried along in the Northern and Southern agenda of the party.

“We appeal that, in the Northern and Southern agenda of the party, everybody should be carried along and that nobody should be marginalised.

“We call on all the PDP Governors and party leaders to work together to ensure the PDP stays united.

“We speak to reconciliation, unity, harmonisation of the party. We call for total reconciliation of all warring factions within the party and we call for total unity and harmonisation across every section of the party across all the wards and zones in the country,” the communique read partly.

Calling on all members of the party to work together towards the success of the forthcoming national convention of the party, the Forum said their involvement was necessary to ensure that every stakeholder is carried along including date and venue for the convention.

It also called on PDP youths across states in the country to remain calm and focus on voters register mobilisation in their different state, noting that a date will be communicated immediately after NEC meeting to have a robust discussion with the National Youth Leader to enable them champion a new path way for the party.

It implored the Nigerian youths to have faith in the PDP, saying it remains the major opposition political party that can rescue the nation.
