The National President-Elect of the Ijesa Youth Forum (IYF), Prince Adebusuyi Tobiloba Adeleye, has called on all youths across the six (6) Local Governments of Ijesaland to take the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise with utmost seriousness by not only completing their online pre-registration but also turning out in large numbers for the physical thumbprint and facial capturing.

According to Prince Adebusuyi Adeleye, “This is the time for the youths. The power to shape the future of over 190 communities across the 6 LGs in Ijesaland, our State, and our nation rests in our hands. Our votes will largely determine who emerges victorious in the forthcoming 2026 Governorship Election in Osun State and the 2027 Presidential Election in Nigeria.”

He stressed that the numerical strength, energy, and determination of young people remain the most decisive factors in Nigeria’s democracy today, cautioning political stakeholders not to underestimate the readiness of the youths to chart a new course for the future.

The President-Elect further revealed that a team of volunteering youths under the Ijesa Youth Forum is already working extensively across rural communities in the six LGs, assisting young people with online registration processes and ensuring that no youth is left behind due to digital or infrastructural limitations.

Prince Adeleye urged all youths in both rural and urban areas of Ijesaland to see voter registration as the first and most important step towards true representation, development, and accountability in governance. He added that the days of apathy must give way to active participation, as the destiny of the youth and the nation at large cannot be left in the hands of others.

“We must stand ready. Our unity, our votes, and our voices will define the next chapter of Osun and Nigeria’s leadership. No one should toy with the collective readiness of the youths,” he declared.

The President-Elect concluded by reaffirming his commitment, and that of the Ijesa Youth Forum, to continuously mobilize, sensitize, and empower youths towards nation-building and leadership transformation.
