“He was a former Resident Electoral Commissioner in Taraba and Nasarawa states, where he discharged his responsibilities with unwavering integrity, diligence, and fairness, hallmarks that defined his entire career.”

He maintained that as Chairman of BASIEC, Hardawa played a critical role in deepening democratic governance at the grassroots through the promotion of transparent and credible electoral processes.

“His commitment to the rule of law and institutional development earned him the respect of colleagues, political actors, and the general public.”

The media aide stated that Mohammed describes the late Hardawa as a man of wisdom, humility, and exemplary leadership, whose wealth of experience and service orientation will be sorely missed at this critical time in the democratic journey.

The governor extends his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission, friends, associates, and the entire people of Hardawa and Misau Emirate Councils.

He prays that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his loved ones the strength to bear this great loss.

Report indicated that the funeral prayer (Janazah) for the late Alhaji Hardawa will be conducted today, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Emir’s Palace, Bauchi, by 5:00 p.m.
