The lawmaker representing Osun Central, Senator Francis Fadahunsi has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his resignation letter dated June 12, 2025, Fadahunsi said his decision was due to irreparable, irreconcilable differences and protracted legal battles that have bedeviled the party at the National level.
The letter was addressed to the PDP ward party chairman, Ward 4, Obokun Local Government Area, Osun State.
The letter read, “I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect, due to the irreparable, irreconcilable differences and protracted legal battles that have bedeviled the party at the National level after the 2023 general elections.
“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family, and friends.
“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith.”
Fadahunsi’s defection comes more than three months after lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade federal constituency, Wole Oke also left the PDP in Osun State on April 23, 2025.
While the ex-customs boss is yet to announce his next destination, feelers reveal he might be on his way to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
