Former lawmaker representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Mudashiru Oyetunde Husain, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing his passing as a monumental loss to Nigeria, Africa, and the global democratic community.

Reacting to the news of the former President’s demise, the erstwhile NPC federal commissioner said President Buhari would be remembered for his patriotism, discipline, and commitment to national development.

According to him, Buhari served Nigeria with sincerity of purpose, both as a military leader and as a democratically elected President.

“President Muhammadu Buhari was a statesman who dedicated his entire life to the service of our great nation. He championed the fight against corruption, invested in infrastructure renewal, and upheld democratic values through difficult times,” Senator Husain stated.

He added that Nigerians, particularly the people of Osun State, join millions across the country and the world to mourn a man whose legacy will remain a reference point in governance and public integrity.

Senator Husain also extended his heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, the government and people of Katsina State, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging Nigerians to honour the late President’s memory by remaining committed to peace, unity, and national progress.

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus,” he prayed.
