The Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, was privileged to host a delegation of persons with disabilities at our Headquarters for a courtesy visit. The delegation, led by Hon. Bashiru Daudu, Chairman of the House Committee on Disability, and Mohammed Abba Isa, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Disability Matters, also conducted an oversight assessment of the compliance levels of agencies under the Commission’s purview.
The discussions were highly productive, focusing on the welfare of persons with disabilities, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Solarization Project, GCFR, and key issues related to governance and national development. These deliberations highlighted the critical need for inclusive policies and collaborative efforts to advance our nation’s progress.
The Director-General of the ECN extends his heartfelt appreciation for this important visit. We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to supporting persons with disabilities in alignment with our statutory mandate. Together, we are dedicated to fostering a nation that recognizes and uplifts the immense potential within every individual, embodying the truth that there is ability in disability.
