The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Damagum, has announced that the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) has officially affirmed Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the PDP National Secretary.

Damagum made the disclosure on Monday while addressing journalists shortly after the NEC meeting held at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

According to him, the affirmation was one of the key resolutions reached during the meeting of the NEC, which remains the highest decision-making organ of the party.

“Let it be clear that the NEC has affirmed Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary of our great party,” Damagum stated.

The move appears to put to rest recent internal disputes and speculations surrounding the position, reinforcing the NEC’s authority and its commitment to unity and clarity within the party’s leadership structure.
