Yusuf Dingyadi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially resigned from his position.

In a letter made available to newsmen on Sunday, dated June 25, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagum, Dingyadi expressed his gratitude to the party leadership for the opportunity to serve over the past three years.

“While I appreciate the support and prayers of the PDP family during my stay in this office, I remain appreciative of all the contributions given to me to ensure the success of my assignment,” the letter read in part.

Dingyadi was a key figure in articulating the party’s positions during turbulent political moments and internal crises.

He was frequently featured across radio, television, and print media platforms where he defended PDP policies, clarified party developments, and promoted unity and coherence within the party.

Though he did not state reasons for his resignation, his exit marks the end of an era in the PDP media office that witnessed a period of intense political activity, strategic communication, and campaign coordination.

A journalist with over two decades of experience, Dingyadi has worked with reputable media organisations, including Reporter/Nasiha and BBC Hausa.

His political media career spans several decades and includes roles in the campaigns of Obasanjo/Atiku (1999, 2003), Goodluck Jonathan/Namadi Sambo (2011), and Atiku Abubakar/Ifeanyi Okowa (2023).

He also served in the media team of the late Minister of Communications, Arzika Tambuwal, and was actively involved in political movements such as the People’s Front, the Social Democratic Party, the Democratic People’s Party, and the administration of former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwa.
