Renewed Hope Global has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for signing into law four landmark tax and fiscal bills aimed at simplifying Nigeria’s tax regime and delivering long-awaited relief to low-income earners, small businesses, and working families across the country.
Describing the move as “a bold reset in Nigeria’s economic governance,” the organisation praised the President’s vision of building a modern tax system that reflects equity, transparency, and growth for all.
The four newly enacted laws, The Nigeria Tax (Fair Taxation) Act, Nigeria Tax Administration Act, Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Act, and Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Act, are expected to unify the country’s previously fragmented tax landscape, eliminate duplication, restore investor confidence, and encourage productivity without stifling enterprise.
“This is more than tax reform it is a social and economic shift. For decades, Nigerians have called for a fairer tax system. President Tinubu has listened, acted, and delivered,” said Ambassador J.K. Adebola, Global Chairman of Renewed Hope Global.
Ambassador Adebola particularly lauded Mr Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reform Committee, whose tireless leadership and technical depth shaped the framework of the new tax architecture.

The reforms, set to take effect from January 1, 2026, signal the beginning of a new era of citizen-focused governance. They include pro-people tax cuts and more straightforward compliance guidelines aimed at reducing burdens on ordinary Nigerians while strengthening national revenue in a transparent and coordinated manner.
“President Tinubu is not just signing laws he is restoring the broken link in our social contract. These reforms are a rallying cry for growth, fairness, and shared prosperity,” the statement noted.
