Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Linc Edochie, has announced the end of his relationship with Yinka Theisen following a controversy involving the posting of May Edochie’s phone number on social media.

The drama began on Saturday, June 21, when Yinka, amid an online clash with fans of May Edochie — the estranged wife of Linc’s younger brother, Yul Edochie — publicly shared May’s personal phone number on social media. Yinka claimed that May had earlier given her number to fans who allegedly began to harass her.

However, in a statement released via Instagram on Monday, Linc disassociated himself from his wife’s actions, stating that he does not condone such behaviour and reaffirming his stance as a man of peace.

“I did not endorse the recent attacks on May, nor did I support posting her number online, which has triggered meaningless retaliation,” he wrote. “Better to be alone and at peace than to be in a union filled with landmines.”

Shortly after his post, Yinka Theisen also took to Instagram to confirm the end of their relationship. “In all things we say thank you, Lord! My relationship with Linc is over. No hard feelings at all. I am very sad but in all things we thank God,” she wrote.

The split comes just weeks after news of their marriage surfaced online, making it one of the shortest high-profile relationships in Nollywood this year.
