The Federal Government has launched a dedicated website for the forthcoming National Youth Conference, as part of efforts to deepen youth engagement and foster inclusive national development.

The website, nationalyouthconfab.gov.ng, is expected to serve as the central platform for registration, access to updates, and participation in the conference, which is scheduled to hold later this year. Government officials say the portal is designed to be accessible to young Nigerians across all 360 federal constituencies, including those in the diaspora.

Speaking during the launch ceremony in Abuja, the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, described the initiative as a bold step toward creating an inclusive platform for young Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to national conversations. He said the National Youth Confab would be implemented through a participatory process that includes virtual engagements with the diaspora, grassroots consultations, zonal consolidations, and a national dialogue in Abuja.

Olawande noted that the conference would focus on critical themes that affect young people, including governance and political participation, job creation, education, technology, climate change, and social inclusion. He stressed that the process would be anchored on transparency, inclusiveness, and innovation, and urged Nigerian youths to embrace the opportunity to shift from protest to policy and from problems to solutions.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and Chairman of the National Planning Committee, Olubunmi Olusanya, said the website would act as a digital gateway to the success of the conference. He explained that it would enable seamless registration, facilitate virtual consultations, and serve as the primary source of information and interaction throughout the process.

Olusanya commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating the project, and applauded the Minister for what he described as visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to youth development.
