A political association operating under the banner of the Nigeria Youths Awareness Group Makinde 2027 (NYAG Makinde 2027) has declared its full support for Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, as the most capable candidate to lead Nigeria in the 2027 presidential election.

During an interactive session with journalists in Kano, the National Secretary of the group, Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi, announced that following extensive consultations and political analysis, NYAG has resolved to back Makinde’s presidential ambition, describing him as the only leader with the vision and competence to move the country forward.

Abdullahi said: “We have met as different youth groups and have united behind Seyi Makinde for President in 2027.

“We are a moving train, and nothing can stop us until we achieve our objective of a Makinde presidency.”

The group stated that it is already laying the groundwork for a nationwide mobilization campaign, beginning in Northern Nigeria.

Abdullahi revealed that consultations have been held with prominent political figures and influential stakeholders across the country, many of whom have reportedly pledged support for the Makinde 2027 project.

“The Seyi Makinde 2027 movement is not just an idea—it’s a reality gaining momentum. It will spread like wildfire,” Abdullahi said.

He disclosed that the group has finalized preparations for a major media and publicity push.

“Posters, billboards, handbills, and other campaign materials have been printed. By next week, in-sha Allah, they will be visible all over Northern Nigeria,” he stated.

According to him, the campaign will initially target states such as Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Borno, Yobe, and Gombe, with plans to expand to other parts of the country, including the South.

Explaining the rationale behind the endorsement, Abdullahi praised Governor Makinde’s leadership in Oyo State, describing him as a focused and results-driven administrator.

“We have closely followed Governor Makinde’s achievements in Oyo State. He is committed to improving lives and delivering good governance. That is the kind of leadership Nigeria needs at this critical time,” he said.

The NYAG Makinde 2027 group called on all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to unite behind the Oyo Governor for a brighter, more progressive future.
