Marvellous Babajide, a passionate female development advocate and writer, has officially announced her transition into a new chapter as an EcoChemist and Sustainability Storyteller, vowing to use her voice and storytelling skills to promote environmental awareness and inspire climate action.
In a heartfelt statement shared with her audience on her Facebook page, Babajide who recently graduated with a degree in Industrial Chemistry explained that after years of advocating for young women and empowering over 1,000 through her content, she is now channelling her energy into a cause that affects all of humanity: the environment.
“I was on a journey of discovering myself and wanted to bring other women along,” she said, recalling her earlier advocacy work. “But at a point, I needed to take a break and walk the talk.”
She described how her Industrial Training and final year experiences offered the clarity she needed, with a special mention of a remarkable lecturer in environmental chemistry whose dedication to research sparked her curiosity.
Her decision was further solidified after watching the film La Palma, which depicts the devastating impact of a tsunami on a vacationing family.
“That movie opened my eyes to the fact that no person or business is safe if the environment isn’t safe,” she said.
Motivated by the urgent need to protect the planet, Babajide is now combining her scientific background with her writing expertise to make environmental education accessible, relatable, and inspiring.
“I can’t wait to share educational content about how we can save the earth in ways that are easy to understand,” she added, urging the public to join her on the journey toward sustainability.
