The Oyo State Football Association has announced that Ibadan based yoruba sports caster has been banned from all related football activities and should keep off from all stadia in Oyo state until the end of 2025/2026 football season.

The ban followed his live radio programme aired on a radio station in Ibadan on the 2nd of this month where he alleged Shooting Stars management and players of match fixing in their previous NPFL matches against Katsina United, Lobi Stars and Remo Stars.

In a sitting before the Disciplinary Committee held yesterday at Lekan Salami Sports Complex, the sports broadcaster admitted that all his reports were lies and fabricated.

He noted that his presentation on the live radio program were generated by his emotional distress as a result of Shooting Stars’ performance towards to the end of the current campaign.

At the end of the hearing, the Disciplinary Committee found him guilty of false allegations from his reckless and frivolous’ presentation and ordered him to write apology letter to the management of 3SC under Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan David ‘Akoro’.

In a letter signed by Mr Kehinde Ojelowo, the state football body further directed the sports broadcaster to tender a written undertaking to Oyo State Football Association not to engage in any activity that will bring the round leather game to disrepute.

Recall that before the hearing held today, the broadcaster had apologised to Shooting Stars management, Nigeria Professional Football League body, Nigeria Football Referees Association and major football stakeholders in Nigeria on the false allegations.

His apology was aired by himself on thesame radio station, a few hours after the allegations.
