The number one online media team in Osun State, Progressives e-Group has expressed deep embarrassment and disappointment over the ‘show of shame’ displayed by Governor Ademola Adeleke during his recent appearance in London, purportedly for an investment meeting with UK officials.

According to the statement from the group, the viral footage and reports from the outing is not only disgraceful but also a stark reminder of the “rudderless and clownish governance currently plaguing our dear state.”

The group further stated that “Osun; a state renowned for producing some of Nigeria’s brightest minds in all spheres of human endeavor, now suffers the misfortune of being led by the least prepared in both leadership composure and administrative articulation.

“At a time when global partnerships require vision, class, and clarity of thought as exemplified by Governor Babajide SanwoOlu of Lagos and Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State in this same London two days ago, what Osun presented to the international community was an uninspiring spectacle that further diminishes the dignity of our people on the world stage.”

The group urged Osun indigenes to keep their disappointment close to their hearts and channel their frustrations into purposeful action by safeguarding their voter cards.

“The 2026 election is fast approaching, and it provides an opportunity to correct this error by ushering in a competent, articulate, and progressive-led administration that will restore Osun’s pride and dignity.

“The future of Osun cannot be mortgaged to jesters. Our collective responsibility is to ensure that the next leadership reflects the true character, intelligence and progressiveness of our people. Enough is enough,” the statement read.
