In a decisive show of support, delegates at the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2025 governorship primaries have overwhelmingly elected Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, popularly known as Ikukuoma, as the party’s flag bearer for the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

Tinubu Pushes Institutional Reform, Flags Off INEC HQ Expansion

The primary election, held this morning, saw Ikukuoma clinch the APC ticket with a commanding 1,455 votes. He defeated three other aspirants: Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, who secured 67 votes; Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, who garnered 26 votes; and Edozie Mmadu, who received 8 votes. A total of 26 votes were declared invalid.

 

With this victory, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu is set to lead the APC into the crucial governorship race, as party members rally behind his candidacy with high expectations.
