Mr. Dare, CON, was one of the pioneer journalists who joined the Bayo Onanuga-led team at the formation of The News Weekly Magazine. The Military Dictatorship soon proscribed the News magazine after Generals Babangida and Abacha got massive poundings from The News magazine. Upon the banning of News magazine, Tempo magazine was born. Dr Dare rose to become the General Editor of The News, Tempo and PM news publications.

His journalistic endeavours showcased a flair for uncovering the truth and articulating complex issues with precision, a skill he has carried into the realm of public service. Dare’s ascent in public administration saw him rise to become the Executive Commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
