The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially informed the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, about a petition filed by her constituents seeking her recall from the National Assembly.

In a letter addressed to the suspended senator, INEC confirmed that it has received the contact details of the petitioners.

 

Akpoti-Uduaghan is currently serving a six-month suspension for gross misconduct and violation of Senate Standing Orders.

She has also accused the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment.
