In a statement signed by the public affairs officer of FEMD, Nkechi Isa, some victims had been referred to Gwagwalada Teaching Hospital, Federal Medical Centre in Keffi, and Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja for further medical care.

According to the statement, the explosion destroyed at least 10 vehicles.

After visiting the accident scene, the acting director-general of FEMD, Engr Abdulrahman Mohammed, reiterated the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations.

He cautioned against reckless driving, dangerous overtaking, and poor vehicle maintenance, urging motorists to exercise caution on the roads.

Engr. Mohammed also encouraged FCT residents to utilise the 112 emergency toll-free number for assistance during emergencies.
