Jandor, who was the PDP’s governorship candidate in Lagos State during the 2023 elections, made the announcement on Monday at a media briefing held at Liberty Place, Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja, Lagos, alongside his supporters.

His return to the APC follows a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock, Abuja, last week, where undisclosed political discussions took place. Prior to that, Jandor also engaged in consultations with key political figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former military President Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, and 2023 SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo.

Jandor had earlier resigned from the PDP, citing indiscipline, betrayal by party leadership on the eve of the Lagos governorship election, and misleading claims of an alliance that cost the party critical votes.
