The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has indicated readiness to sign a peace deal with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, and the 27 house of assembly members, saying peace is important for the development of our state.
While describing the decision as his sacrifice for peace to return, he urged Wike and the lawmakers led by Martin Amaewhule to consider the interest of Rivers State and accept his peace deal.
Fubara stated this on Thursday amid agitation for his impeachment by some residents of the state over sundry issues alleged to have been violated by the administration.
