Following the devastating fire outbreak that ravaged Aleshinloye Market in Ibadan, the Chairman of the Ibadan South-West Local Government Hon. Kehinde Akande along with his Vice, Honourable Tajudeen Adigun, paid a condolence visit to the market this morning.

During the visit, Hon. Akande sympathized with the traders who lost their goods and properties in the inferno. He assured them that the Oyo State Government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde is committed to supporting the affected traders to get back on their feet.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss and destruction caused by the fire outbreak,” Hon. Akande said. “I want to assure you that the government is with you in this difficult time. We will do everything possible to support you and ensure that you recover from this setback.”

He further promised that the government will take measures to prevent such incidents in the future and look into the area which many of the victims has raised as concerned.

The Aleshinloye Market, one of the largest markets in Ibadan, was gutted by fire on early this morning, leaving hundreds of traders counting their losses. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but it is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
