His new term officially commenced on September 5, 2024.

Similarly, Dr. Dauda Abubakar Katagum, who had been serving as Acting CMD, has been confirmed as the substantive head of the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Azare, Bauchi State, with his tenure beginning December 6, 2024.

The Federal Teaching Hospital in Lafiya, Nasarawa State, which was recently upgraded, will be headed by Dr. Ikrama Hassan, a consultant physician and former Medical Director of the Dalhatu Ibrahim Arab Specialist Hospital.

For the newly established National Orthopedic Hospital in Maiduguri, Borno State, President Tinubu appointed Dr. Ali Mohammed Ramat, a renowned consultant orthopedic and spine surgeon, as its first CMD.

In Kafanchan, Kaduna State, Dr. Haruna Abubakar Shehu, a consultant family physician, has been appointed as CMD of the newly established Federal Medical Centre.

Congratulating the new appointees, President Tinubu urged them to uphold professionalism, accountability, and excellence in their leadership, ensuring quality healthcare delivery for all Nigerians.
